Dr Claire Olver

With over 20 years of experience in General Practice, Dr Olver trained at St George’s Hospital Medical School graduating in 1998. After completing her training in Essex she qualified as a GP in 2004 - becoming a partner at an NHS practice in rural Essex from 2004 to 2016.  In 2015 upon the realisation of the vast benefits of Time, Accessibility and Continuity, she started her part-time private practice in London and the Southeast, these core elements continue in her work today.

In 2018, following her passion for sailing and the great outdoors, she relocated to the beautiful coastline of South Devon. At this time private general practice in the Southwest was in its infancy - she has since successfully built well-received private practices in Plymouth and Torquay and is now offering clinics in Exeter.

During her early career, Dr Olver’s main interests focused on Women’s Health, Paediatrics and Mental Health, however, she now finds the diversity of being a Generalist very fulfilling and consults on all aspects of General Practice. Alongside her clinical work, she is also a Panel Physician for Immigration Medicals in Australia, New Zealand and Canada.

Dr Claire Olver is married with three grown-up sons and outside her practice, she enjoys coastal walks with her two spaniels, sailing, skiing and travelling and loves to combine these hobbies with cherished time with her family.
